I start you off with a really cool project, which is making your own designer duplications. You can basically "knock off" thousands of famous designer perfumes, ones that cost $90 at the cosmetic counter (but only $10 for you to make.) Designer duplications are satisfying and fun to make, but they are only the beginning...
I also walk you through getting started with precious botanicals, such as rose and jasmine absolutes. (Absolutes are what professional natural perfumers use a lot of the time, in addition to essential oils.) When you use absolutes, you have access to an amazing range of aromatic materials.
Some are rare and not used much in modern perfumes, so you can create fragrances that smell fresh and unusual, not the same-old stuff. Using absolutes and rarer essential oils can be expensive, but I tell you how to get started without spending a ton of money. You will see that using plant aromatics isn't as expensive or intimidating as you think!

And last, I show you some creative ways to make your own perfume blends. None of them are the tedious traditional method of using top notes, heart notes, and base notes. That method is useful, but it is not beginner-friendly. I feel like it stomps on beginners' confidence because it takes a long time to master.
Instead, I give you more beginner-friendly ways to compose perfumes. They will give you faster, easier ways to create good blends.
